An exhibition designed and curated by COTH Studio for Chiang Mai Design Week 2023, the "Persona of Things" exhibition invites audiences to explore some repairing techniques for surrounding objects in the context of Chiang Mai. Instead of disposing of things that later cause waste problems, the exhibition encourages people to shift habits from looking forward to buying new things to repairing and restoring the used ones.
The overall visual design aims to simulate an experience of visiting a thrift store. To achieve the feeling of retro-homey yet cool vibes, we curated color schemes with warm tones and designed graphic elements inspired by retro furniture.
The logo typeface aims to imitate the shape of repaired items
through the action of cutting and pasting sticker tapes.
The graphic elements, inspired by stickers and stamps stuck on objects,
capture the image of used items that carry a story.
