Part of Chiang Mai Design Week 2023, the “Everyday Contem” Exhibition, designed and curated by COTH Studio, presents an opportunity to modernize craft pieces by Lanna artisans for use in contemporary living.
Drawing inspiration from Japan, the exhibition begins by exploring the concept of Japanese craft philosophy, "Mingei," and the evolution of craft utensils like “Mingu”. It showcases real examples of industrial goods from the brand 'Muji' that successfully blend Japanese traditional crafts into modern-day living.
Finally, the exhibition revisits Lanna traditional crafts and highlights significant opportunities to elevate crafts in local regions through collaboration between artisans and the new generation of designers.

To embody the concept of everyday living, the main logo and other elements draw inspiration
from the shape of a clock and its hands.
